The following is a list of the active committees. We are always looking for volunteers to lead or assist the committees. If you are a WIMS PTO member and wish to volunteer for one of the committees, please email us at info@WIMSPTO.org

We’re looking for you. This committee provides cookies for schools events
and special occasions.

NEEDED
Cultural Enrichment Interested in arts education? This coordinator
works with WIS staff to select and schedule arts-related activities through Young
Audiences of Indiana. A catalog of artists is available and Young Audiences provides
assistance.

Directory
A handy student directory is produced annually
by the PTO. If you’re a quick typist and can volunteer in September, please consider
heading up this project. WIS staff provides information, but computer input, printing and
delivery coordination is needed. Directories will be available by Fall Break.

Fundraising – (Pie Sales)
Pie Sales: If you’ve volunteered for Market
Day, please consider coordinating or helping out. WIMS PTO sells homemade pies each fall,
with an optional spring sale. We need someone to prepare and distribute order forms,
supervise pie delivery at school and coordinate parent pick up.

Hospitality/Teacher Appreciation
Help thank teachers for all their hard work!
This year-long committee sporadically delivers small tokens of appreciation and/or full
scale meals. We’ve seeking a chairperson with creativity and many volunteers.

Spirit Wear
Go Rocks! This committee selects and sells school spirit clothing and novelty items
through pre-paid orders. This committee needs volunteers to staff sales tables at a variety
of school events

Rebate Program (Trash-to-Cash)
Trash-to-Cash: Printer Ink Cartridge Recycling
Program Coordinator markets this fund-raising effort to school staff, parents, and local
businesses, then collects and ships empty cartridges to a national recycler.Retail and Label Program:
Steven Vincent chairs
this program, which consists of Box Tops for Education, as well as Meijer and Target
promotions.

Sixth Grade Bon
Voyage/Eighth Grade Graduation
Volunteers needed to help
plan and execute the end of the year celebration for each of the schools.
Year Book Volunteers will be responsible for taking and collecting pictures
throughout the year as a way to preserve the special events that occur in
our school.
NEEDED

Workroom Coordinator
This committee helps teachers immensely by copying
and laminating
materials for classroom use. We need a coordinator to schedule parent
volunteers and monitor the workroom weekly.
